BRTCA Annual Awards Presentation

The Annual Awards are given out each year at the National Events in recognition of a member/member dog’s accomplishments earned in (or completed in) the preceding calendar year. Annual Awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting.
To help keep track of your dog’s Performance/Sport accomplishments, you may find the Performance Awards Progression Chart (link at bottom of page) to be helpful, especially in keeping track of titles earned over more than one year.
The deadline for submitting your Award Application along with verifiable documentation is: July 1, 2026

A few key points to keep in mind:
- Dog must be owned or co-owned by a BRTCA member, and any titles earned towards an award must have occurred during the time the owner or co-owner was a BRTCA member in good standing.
- Awards must be applied for in the year the title/certificate was earned. Titles/accomplishments earned in 2025 are being recognized now, in 2026.
- Some awards, such as the Versatility Dog (VD), may take more than one year to acquire sufficient titles/points to meet minimum requirements. Awards are to be applied for in the year the minimum required points have been reached. For example, if a dog earned 2 points in 2021, 8 points in 2022 and 5 points in 2025 from the required Groups, an application for a Versatility Dog Title must be made for the 2025 award year (presented in 2026).
- Use the Performance Awards Progression Chart (link below) to help determine points and eligible awards.
- Provide supporting documentation of titles earned along with your Award Application.
