Learn the Black Russian Terrier from the Breed Experts
The Black Russian Terrier Club of America is pleased to offer its 2026 Judges Education Seminar as part of our 20th Anniversary National Specialty celebration in South Jordan, Utah.
This seminar provides judges and prospective judges with an opportunity to learn more about the Black Russian Terrier directly from the breed's parent club and experienced BRTCA members.
The program will explore the characteristics that define the breed, with an emphasis on understanding the breed standard, correct structure, movement, temperament, presentation, and overall breed type.
Whether you are an approved judge, a judge aspiring to add the Black Russian Terrier to your approved breeds, or simply interested in learning more about the breed, we welcome you to participate.

Take Your Education Into the Ring! The BRTCA Judges Education Program will also offer Ringside Mentoring in conjunction with the Bonneville Basin Kennel Association all-breed dog shows and the BRTCA specialty events. This provides an opportunity for judges and prospective judges to observe Black Russian Terriers in the conformation ring while discussing the breed with experienced BRTCA representatives. Saturday, September 12, 2026 BRTCA National Specialty Ringside mentoring will be available during Black Russian Terrier judging.
